CHILDREN'S DENTISTRY

Kids do best when nothing feels like a surprise

OUR APPROACH

We treat kids like kids, not just smaller adults

Most kids who are scared of the dentist aren't scared of the dentist. They're scared of the unknown: unfamiliar tools, unexpected sensations, adults talking over their heads. We fix that by making sure nothing is a surprise.

The goal isn't just a clean bill of dental health today.
It's a kid who comes back next time without a fight.

We explain before we start

Every tool gets introduced. Every step gets named before it happens. No surprises, ever.

We follow their lead

Some kids are curious. Some need time. We match their pace, not the other way around.

We keep parents in the loop

You leave knowing exactly what we found, what to watch for, and what to do at home.

FIRST VISIT

The unknown is where the anxiety lives

So here's what you and your child can expect, in order.

1
We say hello

We introduce ourselves to your child and get to know them first before anything happens.

2
We show the tools

Every tool gets named before it goes anywhere near their mouth.

3
A gentle look around

Gums, teeth, development. For small kids this might be a count and a chart.

4
A clean if they're ready

No pressure. If it's not the visit for it, we wait.

5
We debrief with you

You leave knowing exactly what we found and what to do at home. Parents are always welcome to sit in for their child's appointment.

6
They pick a toy

Every visit ends with a trip to the toy room. Always.

Take home a free toy at the end of every visit

No exceptions, no conditions. It started as a small gesture. Now it's the thing kids remind their parents about on the drive over.

HOW TO PREPARE

Preparing for a visit? Here's what actually helps

Book at the right time of day

Morning appointments tend to work better for kids while they're rested and not tired or hungry. Avoid nap times if you can.

Let them bring a comfort item

A favourite toy or blanket. We've seen kids bring everything from beanies to weighted dinos. Whatever helps them feel safe.

Keep it simple and factual

"We're going to meet someone who looks at teeth." Plain and matter-of-fact. Avoid big build-ups or bribes.

Tell us about any sensory needs

A note for our chart goes a long way. Lights, sounds, textures: we can adjust to make the first experience easier.

“They have a great atmosphere and are amazing with kids… I made an appointment for myself.”

Kira Cox, Google Review

“I have a child with autism and ADHD… the grace shown to my son while he was struggling is the reason I will be back.”

COMMON QUESTIONS

A few things parents usually ask

We see children from 12 months of age. Earlier is better — even a quick "hello and a chair ride" visit builds comfort for future visits.

Primary teeth hold space for adult teeth, help with speech development, and decay in primary teeth can affect the permanent teeth coming in underneath.

Plan for 30–45 minutes. We never rush — if a child needs to slow down, we slow down.

Tell us when you book. We can start with a simple meet-and-greet and office tour without any treatment, and show your little one just how fun dental appointments can be.

No, we don't offer sedation options. We'll talk through whether it's the right option for your child and can make referrals to trusted partners as needed.

A comfort item — favourite toy, blanket, or whatever helps. Insurance card. And a heads-up about any sensory needs.
